The Dance Hall
The Dance Hall, Kittery, Maine
The Dance Hall in Kittery, the nonprofit founded in 2011, retained CrossCurrent Communications (CCC) for a short term Marketing Communications contract to address all outward facing communications. We completed an in-depth Communications Audit. We saw a hidden treasure – a historic 1928 grange hall with a wonderful vintage vibe, great bones, hardwood dance floor, performance stage, classes, concessions bar, and a devoted following. We began to implement our recommendations to enhance all communications to match the quality of the programming – from crafting improved and consistent messaging across all platforms to creating a more visually engaging digital marketing presence that connects the Dance Hall to the community. We updated the website, trained staff on digital marketing/social media strategy, and reviewed all photography/video assets. Once COVID-19 hit, CCC helped guide the nonprofit through communications with board, donors, media, and general public as it temporarily shut its doors in Spring 2020.
